Dr. Greg Appelbaum gives an update on the state of sports vision research and the evidence for utility in assessment and training of athletes. In the first part of the webinar, he describes studies in his lab linking visual skills to sports performance, demonstrating that baseline assessments can predict game performance. He then describes his studies testing vision training in college baseball players and the positive benefits to batting performance.  Dr. Appelbaum also  previews upcoming presentations at the ISVA 2024 conference  that do systematic search of the published articles surrounding visual skills, vision training, and sports performance and recommendations for the future.
